Expressions

You know that expression "pain in the neck"? We'll apparently I've become the embodiment of that. lol
I woke up Monday morning with a sore neck and it's been pretty continuous since then. It's now Wednesday morning. We did finally try some ice on it and that did seem to help some so hopefully with some more icing I'll be back to normal and I'll be posting again.

Keep up the ice. I got a horrible stiff/painful neck when I was in grad school - too much bending over books, I guess. It was so bad I couldn't do anything but sleep and not even that so well. I was told to put ice on it and that finally did the trick. It took a few days, but gradually it got better. If you keep a wet washcloth in the freezer and put it on the sore spot every hour for about 5-10 minutes (till it's no longer cold enough) that will probably help. It's easier than dealing with drippy ice. Good luck with it.

A wet washcloth in the freezer. What a great idea! I'll have to remember that for future pains in the neck! I was wondering, Melis, if the way you slept on the plane contributed to the neck problem. It's certainly putting a kink in your enjoyment of your first several days in Egypt. Love, Mom

Maybe your neck is sore from leaning sideways to watch the wedding party video you posted......remembering the videos you showed us from your first visit to Egypt & I have to giggle about your video taping skills......
I love seeing the videos! it's nice having a clear picture of where you are. Good luck with the next apartment. Hopefully it will be off the main drag! Ear plugs may save you from going insane! xo J

Nice idea indeed about the washcloth. We'll see if I can remember it. :D

And Jennifer - lol!
Hopefully I'll be posting more videos soon. We're hoping to have an outing tomorrow so we'll see!
