Satellites

Satellite in my eyes
Like a diamond in the sky
How I wonder.
Satellite strung from the moon
And the world your balloon
Peeping tom for the mother station

Winters cold spring erases
And the calm away by the storm is chasing
Everything good needs replacing
Look up, look down all around, hey satellite

Satellite, headlines read
Someones secrets you've seen
Eyes and ears have been
Satellite dish in my yard
Tell me more, tell me more
Whos the king of your satellite castle?

Winters cold spring erases
And the calm away by the storm is chasing
Everything good needs replacing
Look up, look down all around, hey satellite

Rest high above the clouds no resrictions
Television we bounce round the world
And while I spend these hours
Five senses reeling,
I laugh about the weathermans satellite eyes.

Satellite in my eyes
Like a diamond in the sky
How I wonder.
Satellite strung from the moon
And the world your balloon
Peeping tom for the mother station

Winters cold spring erases
And the calm away by the storm is chasing
Everything good needs replacing
Look up, look down all around, hey satellite

Rest high above the clouds no restrictions
Television you bounce from the world
And while I spend these hours
Five senses reeling
I laugh about this world in my satellite eyes.

The skyline here is basically filled with satellite dishes. You will see them on every rooftop. Just a few on some and dozens on others.
What would the world be without tv??
Something to think about.

I remember the world before TV. We listened to the radio and played games - like Crazy 8's and, outside, Kick the Can. We went to bed earlier, too. LOL Are the buildings in your pictures what you see when you look out your window?

No, this is from some of the buildings surrounding hubby's parent's place.

It's no different here. Almost every house and trailer - especially the trailers - has a satellite dish. I think we're the only ones on the road without one, and I refuse to pay that much money to get a lot of channels I won't watch. Not that we have our converter box, we get 3 channels instead of the one we used to get. Since it's a PBS channel, that's plenty for me.
